SUBSTANCE: the present invention makes it possible to easier record and reproduce data. Samples of linear PCM from the first channel linear PCM to sample of the fourth audio data channel linear PCM are combined to generate group of linear PCM samples. Even number of linear PCM sample groups is combined to generate audio frame. Heading information is added to audio frame to generate audio packet PES, which is multiplexed with video packet PES and recorded to record medium. As a result, number of audio frame bits makes an integer number multiple to 32.
EFFECT: higher extent of compatibility in application of record and reproduction device.
