FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to chemical-pharmaceutical industry, particularly to polymer radiopaque products for embolic therapy. There is described embolic therapy product containing polymer of formula I:
where X=1 or Br; Y1 and Y2 = 0,1, 2, 3 or 4; f = 0-1; g = 0-1; f+g = 0-1; A is chosen from: , , , , ,
where R1 is H or alkyl group containing 1 to 18 carbon atoms and 0-5 heteroatoms, chosen from O and N; R3 is alkyl, aryl or alkylaryl group containing to 18 carbon atoms and 0-8 heteroatoms, chosen from O and N; B is aliphatic diol or polyalkylene glycol link; R and R2 are chosen from , where R7 - -CH=CH-, -CHJ1-CHJ2- and (-CH2-)a; R8 - -CH=CH-, -CHJ1-CHJ2- and (-CH2-)n; a and n = 0-8; J1 and J2 - Br or I; Q for R2 contains free carboxyl group and Q for each R is chosen from the group consisting of hydrogen and esters and amides of carboxylic acids where polymer contains enough halogen atoms to ensure radiopacity of the embolic therapy product.
EFFECT: invention possesses radiopacity properties thereby being biocompatible and biodegradable.
