FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a catalyst composition suitable for polymerisation of mixtures of polyene and α-olefin links. Said composition contains a complex defined by general formula , where M is group III metal atom; L is a neutral Lewis base; z is integer from 0 to 3 inclusive; m is 1 or 2, provided that when m equals 2, the silyl groups are in positions 1 and 3 of the indenyl ligand; n is 1 or 2; each R1 independently represents C1-C20 alkyl group or group –(CH2)R3, where R3 is a phenyl group; and R2 is an X-type monoanionic ligand, where, when z is not zero, group L and group R2 can be joined so that together with atom M, with which each of them is connected, to form cyclic fragment. Also disclosed is a method of producing a polymer.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain interpolymers which include polyene links and from 40 to 75 mol% ethylene links, wherein a plurality of ethylene links are distributed statistically.
