FIELD: mechanics.

SUBSTANCE: method involves supply of lubrication oil during cold rolling with provision for emulsion lubrication. Maximum permissible thickness of the oil film at the edge of cracks formation as a result of sticking is ensured due to the use of a constant at the adjustment - efficiency of lubrication supply presented as the relation of the oil film thicknesses at the supply of pure oil and emulsion. The constant is calculated under the certain values of rolling speed, emulsion supply, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature, spreading length, width of the rolled material or length of the roller body, load at rolling, grade of the rolled material, lubrication oil type and thickness of the oil film during pure lubrication process performed under certain lubrication conditions during rolling in order to assess the thickness of the oil lubricant obtained at emulsion lubrication under certain lubrication conditions; and at least one of the following parametres is regulated: emulsion supply, emulsion concentration, emulsion temperature and spreading length in order the effective length of the oil film correspond to the specified thickness of the oil film.

EFFECT: ensuring high accuracy of regulating the optimal oil film thickness in the deformation site at supplying emulsion during rolling.
