SUBSTANCE: method includes separation of lubrication and cooling of rollers. Regulated distribution of tensile stress, particularly in fringe regions at cold rolling of metal strips is provided ensured by provision of following measures combination: a) separation of lubrication and cooling of working rollers for lubrication from the inlet side and cooling of outlet side, b) additional impact on strip ends by means of sputtering "Hot Edge Spray", particularly zonal sputtering of oil for rolling with different temperature, c) application of rollers of special shape (12, 12') in the area of strips' ends for particulate collection of the material on the strip's ends at preliminary passing, which at following passing leads to longer strip's ends and counteract to failure of the too large extract. Device contains corresponding equipment.
EFFECT: reduction on cracks appearance on strip's ends, reducing productivity, improvement of strip surface and its planeness and reduction of side shearing width.
