FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a powder metallurgy, particularly to composite material on the basis of aluminium and magnesium alloys strengthened by high-modular nano-fibres. It can be used in shipbuilding, creation of structures and equipment of air-space facilities, Rail and other kinds of vehicle in the capacity of constructional material. Composite material contains matrix from metal selected from group containing aluminium, magnesium or its alloys and 20-80 vol.% of reinforce implemented in the form of reinforcing nano-fibres of aluminium oxide coated by film of amorphous carbon.
EFFECT: material allows high level of strength properties and also reduced mass.
