FIELD: ecology.
SUBSTANCE: long-term storage container for hazardous wastes includes cylindrical housing the bottom of which is cast as an integral part of the wall, cover the side wall of which has cone-type connection to the housing wall; at that, taper angle is 2-4°. At that, in cover there is a through hole with hydraulic gate and located is level sensor of material loaded to the container cavity; at that, cylindrical housing with end and cover are made from material - basalt casting with further composition (wt %): - basalt - 98, - chrome-magnesite powder with particle size of 0-0.5 mm - 2, with addition to the mixture of reinforcing nanofibres of aluminium oxide in quantity of (3-5) wt % of mixture. In upper part of the housing there can be made diametrically opposite grooves for grips of lift truck.
EFFECT: creation of new design of container for long-term storage of hazardous wastes, which has improved reliability, low prime cost and has no adverse effect on ecology.
