FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to internal combustion engines, pumps and compressors and can be used as aforesaid devices. Piston machine (PM), as ICE, comprises split cylindrical housing 1, face covers 3, working chamber (WC) 4 moving along housing 1 and piston 6, pin 7, con-rod 8, insert 9, ring gear 10, gears, bearings 12 and crank 13. Ceramic plates 14, 15 with plane-parallel and ground contact surfaces make end face valve device. Ceramic plate 14 with intake and exhaust openings is rigidly fixed on face of WC 4 via refractory packing 20 to rotate together with WC. Ceramic plate 15 with intake and exhaust openings is rigidly fixed on cover 3 of housing 1 via refractory packing 17. Valve device intake and exhaust openings are made in ceramic plates over concentric circumferences to get aligned, during revolution of WC relative to piston and housing, at time intervals that correspond to adequate thermodynamic cycle strokes.

EFFECT: simplified design, higher efficiency and improved ecology.
