FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to multi-stage centrifugal pumps. Proposed damper comprises housing 1, shaft 2 with impellers 3 fitted thereon, hydraulic balancing device 4 with ring 5, and discharge ring 6 fitted in housing 1. Discharge ring outer part and hydraulic balancing device inner part are build-up elements incorporating inserts made from non-metal material (for example, rubber) representing ring-inserts 10. The latter are fixed inside ring 5 of hydraulic balancing device 4 at the points ring 5 comes in contact with the ledge of discharge ring metal part. Ring-inserts 10 are also attached to discharge ring outer part at the point it contacts aforesaid ledge.
EFFECT: ruling out mechanical contact between discharge device rings to reduce their wear.
