FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: miniature cell for detecting gases in a stream based on one or more piezoelectric sensors, comprises a case which is in form of a hollow hemisphere with height from 2.0 to 2.5 cm and openings arranged in a defined manner, which is connected to a microprocessor for exciting oscillations, detecting and converting the signal from the piezoelectric sensors and transmitting it to a digital display or information collection point, and the case is made from fluoroplastic, which enables tight connection of the cover and the detecting cell without threads, strength of the case and the measuring element in aggressive media. The piezoelectric sensor(s) and the openings in the cell lie parallel to the air stream so that maximum sorption of detected gases from the stream onto the surface of the piezoelectric sensor is achieved.
EFFECT: increased mobility, significant reduction of dimensions of the sensor, possibility of combining it with a continuous-running unmanned control system when placed inside gas pipes, increased sorption efficiency of detected substances, simpler production and operation of the gas analyser.
