FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wind power engineering and can be used to convert wind power into electric power. Proposed vortex windmill consists of at least one module comprising carcass made up of posts linked by crossbars and adjusting braces. Module carcass posts accommodate guide vanes representing flat base with vertical vanes fitted thereon. Disk-like base embraces rotor that has main and auxiliary blades. Flexible shaft lower end is articulated with electric generator shaft. Every vertical blade consists of convex from fixed and rear moving sections, the last of which is articulated with mechanism that varies angle of attack of guide vanes. Every main and auxiliary rotor blade consists of central rectilinear section and bent front and rear sections mating the former, front and rear sections being bent in opposite directions. Rotor of every module has slats and flaps, curvilinear in the plan, fastened to the rotor surface nearby front and rear edge of every blade.
EFFECT: higher efficiency, possibility to exploit minor winds and upward hear flows.
