FIELD: wind power engineering; wind plant with vertical axis of rotation of rotor. SUBSTANCE: rotor of wind-electric generating plant has vertical shaft, upper and lower crossmembers of aerodynamic profile arranged in pairs or over the other and connected to shaft through fastening units spaced in height, and at least two wing-shaped blades installed on ends of paired cross-members symmetrically relative to axis of shaft rotation by means of butt-joining units spaced in blade height, thus forming upper and lower cantilevers of blade. According to invention, root part of each blade arranged between butt-joining units is made rectangular in shape in plan with straight-line front and rear edges. Front and rear edges of each cantilever have sweep forward angle, plane of chords of blade root part profiles is arranged parallel to shaft axis, upper and lower pair crossmembers are located in one vertical plane passing through longitudinal lines of profile foci.
