DEVICE FOR TESTING ISOLATION OF ELECTRICAL MACHINE ARMATURE WINDINGS BY INCREASED VOLTAGE Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC G01R31/06

Abstract RU 2375717 C1

FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to devices for electric testing, specifically to testing of interturn and major insulation of electrical machine armature windings. The device represents a source of adjustable high voltage of industrial frequency to which either all pairs of adjacent turns of all armature windings or all turns of all armature windings are connected simultaneously via high-voltage switch and via indicating relays. In this device particular armature winding is identified in case of insulation breakdown.

EFFECT: getting possibility to check simultaneously electric strength of interturn insulation of all armature windings and to check electric strength of insulation of all armature windings from armature housing at once.
