HIGH VOLTAGE PULSE SOURCE Russian patent published in 2023 - IPC H03K3/53

Abstract RU 2810296 C1

FIELD: high-current pulse technique.

SUBSTANCE: generators for pulse formation can be used to generate powerful high-voltage pulses of microsecond and nanosecond duration. The high-voltage pulse source contains a housing in which a switching element is placed, a pulse transformer connected to each other with a magnetic core, and a capacitive storage device made of cylindrical capacitors connected in parallel. A controlled commutator is used as a switching element, a capacitive storage is connected to its anode. The turn of the primary winding of the pulse transformer is formed by a non-magnetic conductive cylinder located in the window of the magnetic circuit, and non-magnetic conductive busbars located along the body. One end of the cylinder is connected to the terminals of the capacitive storage device, and the other end of the cylinder is connected to the cathode of the control switch and to non-magnetic conductive buses. The secondary winding of the pulse transformer is made of two parallel-connected spirals covering the magnetic circuit, and is connected at one end to a capacitive storage device, and at the other end is connected to the output of a high-voltage pulse source. The secondary winding spirals, made of non-magnetic conductive material, are insulated with a liquid dielectric filling the housing. The turn of the secondary winding of the pulse transformer, located at half potential, is galvanically connected to the magnetic circuit. The housing contains a choke with a dielectric frame on which an insulated conductor is wound in a spiral. The inductor is connected to the point of connection of the capacitive storage with the primary winding of the pulse transformer and to the current source. The voltage converter is connected to the connection point between the anode of the control commutator and the capacitive storage device, as well as to the cathode of the control commutator. The cathode of the control switch is connected to the housing, which is grounded.

EFFECT: creation of a reliable and safe-to-use high-voltage pulse source that ensures repeatability of parameters from pulse to pulse.
