SUBSTANCE: invention relates to wireless communication and can be used for transmitting signals in a multi-antenna system. Versions are proposed of a transmitter, which realise the proposed method of transmitting in a multi-channel communication system. In one version the transmitter has at least two antennae, a modulator, a delay circuit which delays characters from the modulator to the antenna by a delay period which varies in time. Each character has a periodic prefix of one or more samples, which varies according to a given time-varying function. Time separation is provided even if the channel between the receiver and the transmitter is not time selective.
EFFECT: minimisation of possibility of destructive summation of channels used for providing for separation.
