FIELD: communications.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to communication for transferring data in a communication system with several antennae, which uses orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM). The transmitting object uses different control vectors for different subranges to control diversion. Each control vector determines or generates a beam for the corresponding subrange. Any control vector can be used to control diversion. Control vectors can be defined such that, beams can continuously vary in subranges, but not sharply. This can be achieved by using phase shifts, continuously varying in subranges for each transmitting antenna. For example, phase shifts can vary linearly in subranges for each transmitting antenna, and each phase inclination can correspond to each antenna. Application of linearly varying phase shifts to modulation symbols in a frequency domain can be achieved through either delay or cyclic shifting of corresponding time samples.
EFFECT: increased reliability and/or improvement of operational characteristics for data transfer.
