METHOD FOR CULTIVATION OF WINE GRAPES WITH FUNCTIONALY-FEMALE TYPE OF BLOSSOM Russian patent published in 2009 - IPC A01G17/00 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention is related to wine-growing. Method is used in zone of open-earth culture of high-bole type of horizontal cordon Roya with short cutting of sprouts. In mixed plantations of two different kinds of grape, plants are periodically alternated with functionally-female and monoecious types of blossom and simultaneous term of their blossoming, in process of natural cross pollination. At the same time pattern of bush arrangement is 3.0 × 1.5-2.0 m. Their planting is executed alternately in each row - one with functionally-female blossom, the next one - with monoecious blossom. Vertical single-tier espalier is installed with two parallel wires at height of 1.3…1.5 m from earth surface. After the first and second vegetation short cutting of bushes is carried out. In process of the third vegetation two strong sprouts are left on each bush for formation of boles. They are fixed in spiral around stake. Cutting of boles is executed at height of espalier wire. In the beginning of the fourth vegetation, in process of breaking, all developed sprouts are removed at the height of boles, leaving one at each bole. In process of growth, sprouts of kinds with functionally-female and monoecious type of blossom are arranged horizontally in opposite directions from bole, having fixed each of them on a separate wire of espalier, creating two continuous opposite arms of cordon along the whole length of row in between bushes.

EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase productivity of grape plantations.
