FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: in method hindu lotus (Nelumbo Nucifera) is cultivated under conditions of harsh continental and continental climate of the delta of the Volga in natural water reservoirs. Preparation of water reservoir in autumn period is executed by selection of slowly running branch or shallow channel with oozy bottom. Planting stock is prepared in the form of rootstocks with 2-3 nodes, in which buds are formed with germinal leaves and blossoms. In spring 3-4 rootstocks are planted at water temperature of 10-14°C by means of rootstocks submersion into silt In process of vegetation period, site water provision is maintained as at least 5-10 cm of water above bottom surface.
EFFECT: method does not require additional measures for acclimatisation of hindu lotus and makes it possible to reduce economical expenses for its growth.
