FIELD: process engineering, engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed invention can be used for production of medicines, feed fluid media in food, chemical and other industries. Positive displacement pump (1) comprises at least one piston (2) arranged in hollow cylinder (3). Pump (1) has at least one inlet (10) for liquid (15) to be sucked in pump chamber (3) in forward stroke of said piston (2), and at least one outlet (11) for liquid (15) to be discharged in back stroke of piston(2). Said piston (2) or hollow cylinder (3) of positive displacement pump (1) may be drive, directly or indirectly, by at least one rotor (5). On the one side, rotor (5) imparts reverse translation to piston (2) or cylinder (3) to allow said piston (2) to move smoothly inside said cylinder (3) or along axis of said piston (2). On the other side, it imparts reverse angular motion to either piston (2) or disk (24) to open and stop, in turn, inlet and outlet (10, 11).
