FIELD: testing equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to testing equipment and may be used for asymmetric biaxial (flat) loading of cruciform samples of materials during their tests. Method for asymmetric loading of flat sample, in which sample in four points evenly arranged along circumference, wedge elements are fixed, which interact with two wedged platforms arranged on both sides of sample, and by means of pressure at platforms in direction perpendicular to plane of sample, forces are created in two mutually perpendicular directions. Besides tests are carried out on cruciform sample, one pair of arms of which is equipped with segments working for tension, and other pair of arms - with segments working for compression, and arranged with identical angles of inclination of surfaces interacting with platforms, in process of loading true relative deformations of tension and compression of sample working part are determined, periodically, if absolute value of compression deformation exceeds tension deformation by a certain value, sample is unloaded, gaskets of identical specified thickness are installed between tension segments and according surfaces of platforms, sample loading is continued.
EFFECT: expansion of functional resources of method due to realisation of asymmetric flat loading of tested materials.
