FIELD: physics; communications.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to communication engineering and can be used for mutual integration of existing different heterogeneous communication systems at a facility. The technical outcome of the invention is increased security and overall reliability of communication, wider coverage area of each of the integrated communication networks and increased number of telecommunication services for users. For this purpose heterogeneous networks are connected together through a gateway node, which contains modular programmable switches-gateways and a control device. The switches-gateways have modular structure. Each network is connected to its own switch-gateway of the corresponding type. The control device can pick out the number of the called subscriber from the signal which is received when establishing connection, can determine from the given number the network of the called subscriber and can determine the number of the called subscriber in their network, as well as establish connection between modules of switches-gateways.
EFFECT: end-to-end traffic forwarding of low-frequency communication channel routes.
