METHOD OF FESTULOLIUM SEED CULTIVATION Russian patent published in 2010 - IPC A01G1/00 

FIELD: agriculture.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the sphere of agriculture and plant cultivation. The method envisages wide-row joint seeding of gramineous and leguminous crops. The following year one ploughs the leguminous component under and provides for formation of the gramineous component seed grass stand for combined production of seeds and forage mass. Under the method the leguminous component is sown in autumn; in spring, at the time of its regrowth one provides for seeding the gramineous component represented by festulolium. Its seeds are mixed with potash fertilisers in an amount of 20-25 kg/hectare. After appearance of sprouts the grass stand crops are spayed with Baikal EM-1 bacterial fertiliser. After the leguminous component has been undercrop harvested for production of seeds the remaining grass mixture is cropped for production of forage which is followed by cultivation of the inter-row-spacings with the leguminous component ploughed under and the festulolium left to produce seeds.

EFFECT: proposed method enables reduction of expenditures on fertilisers, increased yield of leguminous and gramineous crops seeds, additional production of forage characterised by improved feeding qualities and enhance the soil fertility.
