FIELD: agriculture; feed production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, in particular to feed production in irrigated areas of agriculture. The method includes periodic mowing of grass, watering, application of mineral fertilizers, fertilizing, pre-tillage watering with norms of 300-400 m3 per hectare, after harvesting the forecrop, plowing to a depth of 0.25-0.27 m. After harvesting the forecrop, double disking is carried out to a depth of 0.1-0.12 m, one cultivation to a depth of 0.06-0.08 m, ordinary seeding of esparcet with a seeding rate of 6.0⋅106 pieces of germinating seeds per hectare under the cover of oats with a seeding rate of 3.0⋅106 pieces of germinating seeds per hectare to a seeding depth of 0.03-0.04 m. After sowing, the field is rolled with ring rollers. The mineral nutrition regime is supported by phosphorus-potassium fertilizers in calculated doses for the main treatment in reserve for three years of use of the herbage. Nitrogen fertilizers are applied fractionally under the mowing in differentiated doses, the irrigation regime is maintained within 70-75% field moisture capacity. For first year crops one or three watering is carried out with a watering rate of 500 m3 per hectare, the cover oats are harvested for green fodder in phase of sweeping the panicle at a height of 0.08-0.10 m. First year esparcet crops are formed by one mowing, the next three years by three full-fledged mowing per year in flowering phase at a mowing height of 0.10-0.15 m in the first and second mowing, and in the last - 0.14-0.16 m, and crops of the second year of life during the growing season, the number of watering is seven with a minimum irrigation period of 6-36 days with a total irrigation rate of 4200 m3 per hectare. On crops of the third year of life, five irrigations are carried out with a minimum irrigation period of 14-37 days with a total irrigation rate of 3000 m3 per hectare, on crops of the fourth year of life, six irrigations are carried out with a minimum irrigation period of 9-23 days with a total irrigation rate of 3600 m3 per hectare.
EFFECT: method provides productive longevity of herbage, preservation and multiplication of chestnut soils fertility in order to obtain high productivity of esparcet crops when mowing it for hay for four years of life due to the necessary water and nutrient regimes and obtaining a yield of at least 10.1 tonns per hectare of esparcet hay.
