SUBSTANCE: invention relates to mills for manufacturing of hot-rolled long products of type strips or rods. Product is rolled at the first and the second stands of rolling mill, with collector between them. Product outcomes from the first stand at a rate V1, which is higher than retraction speed V3 of the second stand. Collector is outfitted by curvilinear packing unit, mouth of which is co-axial to feeding axis for product receiving, and exit end is shifted in radial direction relative to feeding axis for product feeding across-track direction. Ensured by velocities difference V1, V3 product excess is temporary collected in loop lifter, located between collector and one of mill stands.
EFFECT: invention provides immobility of packing unit at feeding of front butts of products to catcher.
