FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for polymerisation of ethylene, specifically to a method for polymerisation of ethylene in a circulating reactor. Polymerisation takes place at temperature ranging from 20 to 150°C, but below the melting point of the obtained polymer and pressure ranging from 5 to 100 bars. The polymer is present in suspension in liquid or supercritical suspension medium. The suspension is circulated by an axial pump. The circulation reactor has a diametre which varies by 10%. The reactor also has one widening and narrowing in an area which is not the area of the axial pump.
EFFECT: high reaction product output per unit time.
