FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention provides a method of supplying liquid feed streams in a polymerisation process. Described is a method for supplying fresh feedstock selected from a fresh comonomer and a fresh inert hydrocarbon to a polymerisation reactor having a volume of at least 50 m3. Polymerisation reactor is part of a polymerisation process, comprising recovery systems at a high 0.5 MPa (5 bar) or higher and a low pressure of less than 0.5 MPa (5 bar). Method comprises feeding said fresh feedstock and a process stream comprising a first component selected from hydrogen, nitrogen and methane, and a second component which is a monomer into a separator at a pressure of 0.4 MPa (4 bar) or less, to produce a first stream comprising most of the first component, and a second stream comprising most of the fresh feed stream and most of the second component, and feeding the second stream to the polymerisation reactor. Method for treating a fresh feed stream is also described.
EFFECT: obtaining a polymerisation process having a high efficiency for the desired components of the final polymer, for example a monomer, but low efficiency for other components, for example impurities.
