FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tetrafluoroethylene copolymers. The copolymerisation method for producing tetrafluoroethylene copolymer, related to dispersion/finely dispersed powder, in which the copolymer contains essentially from 99.70 mol % to 99.99 mol % tetrafluoroethylene monomer links and from 0.01 mol % to 0.30 mol % copolymerised links of a comonomer of formula (CnF(2n+1))CH=CH2, where 6≤n<10, involves the following steps: (a) copolymerisation of a monomer and a copolymer in a reactor operating under high pressure, (b) initiation of copolymerisation by adding potassium permanganate (KMnO4), (c) carrying out copolymerisation reaction in the absence of any ionic force intensifier and (d) stopping addition of the initiator (KMnO4) at a point corresponding to not more 80% completion of the reaction. The copolymer has size of primary particles of the initial dispersion less than 0.210 micrometres, and standard specific mass less than 2.143.
EFFECT: increased ultimate tensile strength.
