FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: manufacturing method of plates from duplex titanium alloys includes hot working of ingot into slab, hot rolling and following thermal treatment of plates. Hot working is implemented by forging of ingot into three stages. At the first stage forging is implemented at a degree of deformation 40÷60% after heating up to temperature for 220÷280°C higher than temperature of polymorphic transformation Tpt, at the second - at a degree of deformation 30÷50% after heating for 80÷220°C higher than Tpt, at the third - at a degree of deformation 30÷40% after heating up to temperature for 20÷60°C lower than Tpt. The first hot rolling is implemented at a degree of deformation 30÷90% after heating of slab up to temperature for 80÷120°C higher than Tpt and cooling up to room temperature. The second hot rolling is implemented in two stages. At the first stage breakdown is heated up to temperature 20÷50°C lower than Tpt and is rolled at a degree of deformation 23÷35% with following cooling up to room temperature, at the second - it is implemented final deformation up at a degree of deformation 23÷35% after heating of breakdown up to temperature for 30÷50°C lower than Tpt. Cooling of the received plate is implemented after final deformation up to room temperature in the mode of nutation at roller conveyer.
EFFECT: there is increased level of mechanical properties of plates and there are improved quality ratings of macro- and microstructure.
