FIELD: textile, paper.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to process engineering, namely, to quality control methods. Proposed method comprises the steps that follow. First, in programming knitting parametres for program-controlled knitter, process data comprising process variables concerning thread, texture structure, needle cylinder settings or those for slurs, number of needles and that of loops, are determined. Then, knitted fabric is produced, with preset number of loops and needles, from preset linear density thread. Specimen weight is determined and loop thread length is determined from specimen weight, thread total linear density and number of specimen loops. Note here that knitted fabric cover factor from loop thread length-to-thread linear density ratio. Proposed invention does not rule out whatever specimen tests, e.g. determination deformation properties, shrinkage, number of loops and needles, loop density characteristics etc.
EFFECT: accurate quality control.
