FIELD: measurement equipment.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to investigation of strength properties of solid materials. Specimen corresponds as to the shape and dimensions to standard flat specimens for static tensile tests of thin plates and bands made from ferrous and non-ferrous metals in order to determine characteristics of mechanical properties. Weld is located on specimen in a longitudinal direction. Coordinate grid consisting of spherical cells is applied to specimen. At that, specimen is made of composite workpiece welded of sheets of various thickness, strength or type of material, has the plate thickness on both sides from weld, which provides equal strength of plates on specimen.

EFFECT: obtaining the test specimen consisting of elements with various thicknesses or dissimilar materials.
