FIELD: physics; acoustics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to design of reference cavities for reed sound generating devices. The reference cavity has two rows of chambers formed from two longitudinal side pieces and transverse partitions between them, adjoined by lateral edges with the side pieces. Each transverse partition is made in form of a triangle, the wider part of which is directed towards the deck. Lateral edges of the transverse partitions are immovably adjoined with the side pieces. A row of sound compartments is formed, with each compartment divided into two chambers - an input and a non-input. For this purpose along the axial line inside the compartments between the transverse partitions there is a sound plate fitted vertically with possibility of plugging in each compartment or an integral sound plate on the entire row of compartments with a defined set of reeds in each compartment. Only one side of the sound plate of each compartment is fitted with at least two reeds, which are fitted without opening channels and the free ends of the reeds are directed into the input chamber. There are lateral openings on the side pieces for each chamber, and each chamber has a deck opening. All lateral and deck openings of both chambers of each compartment are fitted with petal valves which are made with possibility of directing onto the sound plate one-sided air, and one of the valves is in the input chamber and is made with possibility of two operating positions.
EFFECT: reduced weight and volume of reference cavities, saving on air and improved sound quality.
