FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to frequency stabilisation technology and can be used in passive-type quantum frequency standards with quantum discriminators based on gas cells or atomic-beam tubes. The quantum frequency standard comprises the following, connected in series into an automatic frequency control closed ring a tuned crystal oscillator: a unit for generating a radio-frequency exciting signal, a quantum discriminator, a unit for generating control voltage, a unit for generating reference signals, units for generating a radio-frequency exciting signal and control voltage. The unit for generating the radio-frequency exciting signal comprises a controlled generator, a frequency divider, a mixer, a phase detector and a filter, as well as a phase modulator, connected into a phase-locked loop.
EFFECT: design of a quantum frequency standard with a new design of the unit for generating the radio-frequency exciting signal, which provides for generating a radio-frequency exciting signal with an improved spectrum during aliquant frequency conversion using a mixer.
