FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to field of medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology, and can be used in surgical treatment of patients with chronic maxillitis. Method lies in sanitisation of maxillary sinus and widening of natural connection of sinus with nasal cavity in order to restore mechanisms of natural sinus ventilation and drainage. For this purpose by endoscopic intervention 1-2 cm long access through facial wall in area of canine fossa is performed. Opening in facial wall of maxillary sinus with diametre to 1.0 cm is formed. Then natural connection of sinus with nasal cavity is widened from maxillary sinus side in horizontal direction backward in the same direction as semi-channel, up to 0.5 cm long, preserving hamulus.

EFFECT: application of claimed invention with creation of anastomosis in medial nasal passage of nasal cavity from side of maxillary sinus allows to perform complete sanitisation of maxillary sinus and restore ventilation function, ensure remission of inflammatory process, improve results of treatment in said category of patients.
