FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: access window is formed in the medial wall of the maxillary sinus from the anterior part of the inferior nasal cavity. For this purpose, the distal bone edge of the anterior part of the inferior nasal cavity is distinguished. Separate the mucosa and periosteum. A window is formed through which the pathological and/or foreign contents are removed from the sinus. After that, soft tissues of the inferior nasal shell are laid back. Seal the seam area.
EFFECT: method provides enough wide access to the maxillary sinus, which allows endoscopic examination of all parts of the maxillary sinus, as well as the necessary manipulation of endoscopic surgical instruments under visual control, and also avoids large incisions, damage to nerve wires, trunk vessels and scar tissue of the cheek through the access to the medial wall of the maxillary sinus through the lower nasal shell.
