SUBSTANCE: material is obtained: a) by mixing a composition containing: (i) 10-50 pts. wt polypropylene with MFI 0.1-15 g/10 min at 230°C and 2.16 kg and melting point of at least 155°C and (ii) 90-50 pts. wt ethylene polymer with MFI 0.1-15 g/10 min at 190°C and 2.16 kg, selected from EVA, EMA, EEA, EAA, EBA, VLDPE, VLLDPE and/or metallocene polyethylene, with chemical foaming agent, b) moulding sheet material, where mixture of the composition with the chemical foaming agent is done before and/or simultaneously with moulding, c) cross-linking the sheet material obtained at stage b to degree of cross linking of 20-60%, and d) moulding the cross-linked sheet material at high temperature using a continuous method to obtain foamed material with density of 20-400 kg/m3.
EFFECT: increased softness and thermal stability of the material.
