FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: aluminium alloy with improved stability to damages consists of, in essence, following components, wt %: copper 3.0-4.0; magnesium 0.4-1.1; silver up to 0.8; zinc up to 1.0 wt %; zirconium up to 0.25 wt %; manganese up to 0.9; iron up to 0.5; and silicon up to 0.5; the rest is - aluminium, unintentional impurity and elements, herewith mentioned copper and magnesium are in ratio 3.6-4.5 parts of copper per 1 part of magnesium. Particular alloy is suitable for deformed, casted and also composite components.
EFFECT: alloy allows improved hardness, viscosity and fatigue crack growth resistance.
