FIELD: instrument making.
SUBSTANCE: proposed method is intended for contactless diagnostics of gas turbine engines (GTE) and drive units (DU) without their knocking down with simultaneous identification and localization of their defects. It comprises measuring and processing vibration signals coming from GTE and DU structural units to obtain data on health of assembly units and parts of said equipment. Aforesaid signals are measured in proximity to tested parts by remote contactless method, using a laser vibrator transducer, and digitally processed, said signals being caused by aerogasdynamic and mechanical processes originated in gas-air channels and articulated pairs of GTE and DU. Note that data on health of tested units is obtained by digital processing of aforesaid signals at recorder-analyzer that allows both signal processing and computing depth of modulation on discrete components of vibration envelope spectrum in high-frequency range inherent in GTE and DU structural elements vibration.
EFFECT: aircraft engine testing without knocking down, possibility to identify and localize various defects.
