FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention concerns medicine and can be used for viral and bacterial control of the skin. The method under the invention involves skin contact with a composition ensuring pH reduction to less than pH 4 during at least 0.5 hours, containing polymer acid chosen from homopolymer or copolymer of acrylic acid combined with alcohol and polycarboxylic acid chosen from citric acid, malic acid, tartaric acid and mixture thereof.
EFFECT: application of the invention allows for considerably reduction of bacteria and viruses count on the skin that is ensured by synergetic effect of the components of the composition with respect to pH reduction without skin irritation.
