FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to foundry production. Mixture comprises the following components, wt %: coke 5 - 30, cereal crop husks 10 - 70, slag-generating material 10 - 85. Slag-generating material has the following chemical composition, wt %: C 5.0-15.0, CaO 25.0-48.0, SiO2 33.0 - 39.0,
Al2O3 7.0 - 12.0, F ≥ 3.5, Na2O ≥ 3.0, K2O ≥ 0.7, and basic capacity of 0.7 - 2.2, with account of SiO2 and CaO content in bucket slag. Consumption of heat insulation mixture makes 1-7 kg/t of liquid steel.
EFFECT: invention provides for reduction of heat losses in process of steel pouring and reduction of scrap related to temperature drops and steel hardening in bucket.
