FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: signal is received and stored in form of signal vectors. A function of the initial data structure of the first signal vector is formed. A data structure function is formed for each subsequent signal vector, which is then time shifted. Time interval error functions are calculated. The modified spectrum of periodic jitter is calculated. A histogram of the time sequence of the periodic jitter is constructed. The averaged spectral density of the power of the time interval error (TIE) function is calculated. The modified spectrum of random jitter is calculated. Mean-square deviation of random jitter values is calculated. Direct discrete Fourier transformation is carried out to transform the time interval error function into the frequency domain.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of evaluating components of overall data signal jitter when using spectral separation method.
