FIELD: railway transport.
SUBSTANCE: double universal joint for railway vehicles with two hinge planes comprise two articulated couplings that, to transmit torque, are intercoupled via shaft gear and shaft that embraced by said hollow shaft. Note that one hinge plane engages aforesaid articulated convex-rim coupling to compensate for angular and axial shift, while another hinge plane engages articulated coupling, rigid in torsion and elastic in bending. Said convex-rim articulated coupling incorporates replaceable cup with inner rim and replaceable hub with outer rim. Note here that intermediate shaft end face is coupled with replaceable hub and that hollow shaft gear is attached on to cup outer wall.
EFFECT: increased fatigue strength, no need in servicing, higher angular and radial shift ability.
