FIELD: biotechnologies.
SUBSTANCE: invention is related to biotechnology and may be used in diagnostics of trichomonal infection. Nutrient medium with selective additive contains peptone, yeast extract, L-cysteine, maltose, NaCl, KCl, horse blood serum, penicillin G, streptomycin, amphotericin-B, water.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to increase speed of Trichomonas vaginalis biomass growth (number of protozoa in culture even after 20 hours of incubation achieves 5×104 specimens per 1 ml of medium) with full suppression of foreign microflora and to reduce concentration of antibiotic, which demonstrates antifungal activity.
