FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to cellular biology and medicine, in particular, to ophthalmology and transplantology, and constitutes a method for obtaining ciliary body organ culture (OCCB) from a human donor eye. To implement the method, the donor eye is first incised along the equator, then the lens is removed, and the front half of the eye is divided into 4 quadrants containing the iris, the ciliary body, the cornea, and the corresponding part of the sclera. Herewith, part of the sclera is separated 1 to 2 mm from the toothed line before the eye is divided into quadrants. After separation, the obtained samples are cultured at 37 °C, a 5% content of CO2 and 100% moisture content of the medium of the following composition per 40 ml: 38.4 ml DMEM/F12, 0.8 ml foetal calf serum, 0.4 ml GlutaMAX-I, 0.4 ml solution of an antimycotic antibiotic including 10,000 IU/ml penicillin, 10,000 mcg/ml of streptomycin, and 25 mcg/ml amphotericin.

EFFECT: possibility of obtaining OCCB from a human donor eye containing intact, viable ciliary body tissue while preserving intravital functions in order to increase the accuracy of the results when modelling an experiment for in vitro research.
