SUBSTANCE: invention proposes a nutrient medium for detection of Mycoplasma hominis that comprises nutrient base, growth stimulating agents, arginine, horse serum and distilled water. Medium comprises heart-brain extract and tryptose as a nutrient base, yeast extract and medium 199 as a source of growth stimulating agents, and antibiotics and indicator as selective additives. The proposed method for diagnosis of infections caused by Mycoplasma hominis involves addition of nutrient medium promoting to detection of pathogens of disease into wells of cultural plate, analyzed material, indicator and substance making anaerobic conditions followed by analysis of change of color of the nutrient medium. Method involves using the qualitative and quantitative composition of components said above as nutrient medium. The diagnosis method is simple, it doesn't require special equipment, provides carrying out both detection and identification of pathogens, insemination degree and spectrum of sensitivity to different antibacterial preparation, evaluation of effectiveness of treatment carried out. Invention can be used for culturing Mycoplasma hominis and diagnosis of urogenital mycoplasmosis by isolation of mycoplasma from clinical material.
