Cast iron contains, wt %: carbon 2.9-3.5; silicon 0.8-1.2; manganese 0.3-0.5; nickel 1.0-1.2; barium 0.008-0.01; cerium 0.1-0.15; antimony 0.0001-0.0002; tin 0.001-0.002; cobalt 0.4-0.45; indium 0.006-0.008; germanium 0.001-0.0015; iron - the rest.
EFFECT: cast iron allows high strength.
