FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing method of ultralight gage sheets from high-strength titanium alloys by method of pack rolling. Method includes receiving of initial sheet billet, assembly of packet from plate stocks with dressing coating with usage of case, hot rolling and thermal treatment of packet, separation and finish of surface of received sheets. Initial blanks are received by slab rolling into strip up to thickness ratio hs/hf=2.0-6.0, where hs - thickness of initial plate stock, mm, hf - final thickness of finished sheets, mm, its winding into roll and following cutting for sheets. Rolling of packet is implemented at temperature lower than recrystallisation temperature of alloy. Case consists of at least one section, inside which it is located not more than three sheets, sections are separated from each other by covers, similar to covers of case, implemented from titanium alloys with less strain resistance, then alloy of stock, and with thickness, providing stability of section shape at rolling.
EFFECT: invention provides receiving of ultralight gage sheets of big size from difficult deformed titanium alloys with low mechanical anisotropy of sheets and increasing of bend angle at room temperature.
