FIELD: physics; signaling.
SUBSTANCE: video surveillance method and device are proposed. In the proposed video surveillance method an intermediate image of an object is formed. The said intermediate image is scanned on two coordinates and the obtained image of the object is converted to an electrical signal. The image is recorded through simultaneous fixation of the part of the field which includes a set of scanning elements. The video surveillance device has a lens, an image detector and a signal processing unit. Between the lens and the image detector there is an erecting system with linear magnification greater than 1 and placed with possibility of linear displacement in the plane perpendicular to the optical axis of the lens.
EFFECT: increased information content when operating in real time owing to increase in the viewing angle with retention of the scale of the image, easier processing of video signals and cutting on processing time due to simultaneous scanning of the intermediate image on two coordinates.
