FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: method is carried out in industrial conditions with application of portable device for detection of plant need in nitrogen fertilising. Demand in nitrogen nutrition of plants is established depending on ratio of plant leaf chlorophyll fluorescence to its transparency, which is identified by photometric characteristic of leaf. Measurement registered by instrument is carried out at least at 40 plants. If value of transmission registered by instrument is below 1±0.01, nitrogen fertilising of plants is necessary, if transmission is equal to 1±0.01 and more, no fertilising is required.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to carry out express-diagnostics of plant nitrogen nutrition in the field and to correct doses of nitrogen fertiliser introduction.
