SUBSTANCE: described is a method of protecting lubricant-coolant liquids by treating with a copper-containing chemical reagent which is copper sulphate in concentration ranging from 1 to 150 mg/l of the treated volume. 2-octyl-4-isothiazolin-3-one (Kathon 893 MW) in concentration ranging from 2.5 to 200 mg/l of the treated volume is also added.
EFFECT: method of protection from biodeterioration provides synergetic effect of biocides, which enables reduction of minimal inhibiting concentration by 5-14 times.
