FIELD: physics; optics.

SUBSTANCE: compact solid-state laser with longitudinal pumping has an optical module which has a line of diodes, a housing in which there is a resonator with mirrors, an active element, a heat-removing jacket and a pumping lens. The rear mirror of the resonator is made in form of a separate optical element. The active element is fitted in the radially symmetrical heat-removing jacket mounted between the mirrors, and a support is made at the centre of the heat removing jacket. Between lateral surface of the active element and the support of the jacket there is a lining made from heat-conducting material. An optical module is placed outside the housing and is connected to the laser by an optical fibre connected to the pumping lens which is fitted on the butt-end of the laser housing on the side of the rear mirror of the resonator.

EFFECT: increased laser power with high radiation beam quality, as well as simplification of design, which reduces cost, simplifies assembling and improves maintainability of the laser.
